Bojagh National Park is a region located in Kiashahr, Gilan province, and is the first registered “land-sea national park” in Iran. Unfortunately, this wetland is in a terrible state regarding the diversity and number of animals it supports. Despite this, 234 species of birds from 49 different genera have been observed within the park, of which 12 are endangered species on the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Bojagh National Park is home to migratory birds and breeding grounds for waterfowl and shorebirds. However, many people in the region engage in fishing and hunting, which poses a significant threat to the park’s wildlife. The people of this region rely on hunting to make a living, which exacerbates the problem. As a solution, the author of this text usually purchases the hunted ducks and returns them to their original habitat.

Pishi_darmani, 2020, Social – Participatory Art
In every country, you can spot one or two animals that are commonly seen wandering on the streets. In Iran, it’s the cats that can be found almost everywhere. These cats usually rely on scavenging through the trash to find their food and often need help. An Instagram page called “Pishi_darmani” was created to address this concern. This page not only aims to promote these feline creatures by sharing amusing and delightful videos but also strives to encourage people to adopt street cats. This is a social platform where people come together to rescue injured cats and help them find a new home. The page also posts ads to promote the adoption of these cats. People from different regions of Iran participate by spreading the word and helping find a home for needy cats. They temporarily care for these cats until a suitable person agrees to adopt them.

Street Angels,2021, house building campaign for cats, social-participatory art
During hot seasons, street cats suffer from a lack of clean water; during cold seasons, they struggle to find a warm and dry place to stay. Unfortunately, many cats try to warm themselves by going under car hoods, which can result in their death if the driver turns on the car without realizing the cat is there. To help these cats, I built a house for them with heating equipment and placed it in the parking lot of our apartment complex. I shared a photo of the house on social media and asked my followers to join me in creating safe spaces for street cats in their own neighborhoods. I also created a video showcasing the house I built, as well as other houses that others built. One of the features of my house is an underfloor heating system, which provides warmth for the cats during the colder months.
